Project Overview

Nugi Technologies partnered with the Cross River State Forestry Commission to develop a mobile app that modernizes and streamlines forestry operations. The app features fee collection, payment verification, truck management, and real-time reporting, addressing challenges such as fraud and inefficient payment processes. Additionally, the Agent App was developed for forestry agents, enabling mobile data collection and reporting, real-time tracking and monitoring of forest products, digital payment and revenue collection, and agent management and performance tracking.

Challenges

Prior to the launch of the apps, the Cross River State Forestry Commission faced several challenges, including inefficient manual data collection and management, limited access to real-time information, difficulty in monitoring and preventing illegal logging, inadequate revenue collection and tracking, and limited citizen engagement and participation in forest management.

Results

The Forestry Commission Mobile App significantly improved fee collection efficiency, with a 50% increase in revenue collection within the first six months of deployment. The app also simplified truck management, reducing processing time by 50%.

Conclusion
