Project Overview

Nugi Technologies partnered with the Cross River State Forestry Commission to develop a mobile app that modernizes and streamlines forestry operations. The app features fee collection, payment verification, truck management, and real-time reporting, addressing challenges such as fraud and inefficient payment processes. Additionally, the Agent App was developed for forestry agents, enabling mobile data collection and reporting, real-time tracking and monitoring of forest products, digital payment and revenue collection, and agent management and performance tracking.

Prior to the launch of the apps, the Cross River State Forestry Commission faced several challenges, including inefficient manual data collection and management, limited access to real-time information, difficulty in monitoring and preventing illegal logging, inadequate revenue collection and tracking, and limited citizen engagement and participation in forest management.

Digital Payment and Revenue Collection

Agents can collect payments and revenue digitally, reducing the risk of fraud and increasing transparency.

Agent Management and Performance Tracking

The app enables the management of agent activities, performance tracking, and evaluation. This helps identify areas for improvement and optimize agent operations.


The Forestry Commission Mobile App significantly improved fee collection efficiency, with a 50% increase in revenue collection within the first six months of deployment. Real-time reporting capabilities enabled faster decision-making, leading to a 40% reduction in response time to forestry activities. The app also simplified truck management, reducing processing time by 50%.

The Agent App, designed for forestry agents, enables mobile data collection and reporting, real-time tracking and monitoring of forest products, digital payment and revenue collection, and agent management and performance tracking. The app has increased forest revenue collection, reduced illegal logging, and improved the tracking and monitoring of forest products.

The results of the apps have been significant, with a 30% increase in forest revenue collection, a 25% reduction in illegal logging, a 90% improvement in data accuracy and management, an 80% increase in citizen engagement and feedback, and a 20% increase in forest product tracking and monitoring.

The app's implementation resulted in a significant reduction in fraudulent activities related to payment collection and receipts. Revenue collection processes became more efficient, leading to a noticeable increase in revenue for the Forestry Commission. The app's success in addressing these challenges has positioned it as a valuable tool for enhancing forestry operations in Cross River State.
